Canon c3220 problem!

I just got a Canon c3220 yesterday. The print quality looks good as far as the drums but all 4 color (cmyk) all print about 1/32" off from each other in the direction the paper travels. I checked the itb and cleaned it & its rollers with alcohol & a cotton pad removing some toner but not an excessive amount. I local tech told me to go into the service menu & had me reset a few things. Now when I turn on the machine I do not see a tab for PRINT, all I see is 3 tabs COPY, MAILBOX & SCAN...PRINT tab has disappeared. Can anyone help me get it back. The machine has an ImagePass C1 on the back. I also need help getting it connected to my 10/100 ethernet switch as a TCP/IP connection. I am affraid the service people I talked to on the phone told me to do something that has screwed it up. Also as far as registration problem I was told it could be 1 of 3 things, first the transfer belt or itb which I don't think is it because registration is consistent but all out equally about 1/32", second they said the laser may need to be recalibrated (can anyone tell me how to do that?) and third it could be a board problem...most machines I have worked with have a utility in user mode or service mode to adjust each color to get registration. I am on a very tight budget and I don't want to pay too much or pay for something that doesn't need to be done to service tech. I am a commercial printing so i am technically oriented & any help would be greatly appreciated! Also I would like to get a pdf copy of the service manual & the full operation/setup manual (all it came with was a copying guide). Thanks for any help!

Hi,
The tech that told you it could be one of three things is right, i am a canon technician and work on them all the time, first and foremost there is no easy fix to this problem you need to eliminate things one thing at a time,

Normal 0 I have a fix you could try. I ran into this problem when I noticed that the black printouts looked fine, but anything in color was horribly blurry, and you could actually see that the CMYK colors were not aligned on the paper. The following worked for me after removing and cleaning the ITB and all the rollers, and after realigning the lasers after removing the drums, neither of which fixed the problem.

First enter Service Mode, by using the physical keys and pressing Additional Functions, then 2 and 8 on the numeric keypad simultaneously, then Additional Functions again. In the touch screen select "Copier", then "Function" at the top, then "Clear" in the middle, then "DC-CON" near the top of the list. Then hit the "OK" button on the bottom of the screen. Then, back to the physical keys, press Reset, and then Reset again, and you will be back to the main copier screen on the touch screen. Shut the entire machine off, and wait about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on again. Test it out.

For good measure, you should probably also do a Full Gradation Adjustment at this point, by pressing Additional Functions, then Adjustment/Cleaning, then Auto Gradation Adjustment, then Full Adjustment. It will print and you will have to scan it a few times before it is done.
