prints showed signs of running out of ink but light never came on. replaced ink cartridge but ink's not flowing. the ink i'm using is not an epson ink, but the last cartridge was the same as this new one and it worked no problem. i've done head alignment, nozzle checks, operation checks but nothing is helping. can you? thanx
Perhaps this is a long shot, but are you sure that particular cartridge is getting air through the top-side vent channel? See this:

I threw out like a dozen seemingly perfect cartridges before I figured that out.
