Check contacts inside battery chamber ( clean with pencil erasor )Second , fuse may be blown and is not expensive to replace ( situated same side as LED screen and is marked as fuse on the board ). But you will need proper soldering iron which does not get too hot and one with fine point.( and a tweezer )

i only had to take the battery out of the battery chamber and then slide it back inside and my camera started to work.
