What you need to do is make sure this program is "Loaded" at startup... I think you may find an option of allowing the program to start with windows.. if not simply put the .exe in the "Startup" folder and it will then start with windows.. Otherwise go to the relevant web site and get the latest Driver and reinstall it... when doing so ensure it is set to be active at boot time.

OK go to "Services" and see if it is set to "automatic" perhaps somehow it's been disabled there?

Otherwise uninstall completely, reboot and reinstall, with ANOTHER version, a "Fresh" version from somewhere else. Make sure the "Driver" is the "Latest".

How do you turn off the touch pad

Some notebook users find the touch pad annoying because at times, while typing fast, their thumbs accidentally brush up against the touchpad. This is frustrating because the mouse cursor jumps to a random location on the screen and can cause undesirable things.

To turn off the touchpad when an external mouse or other pointing device is present, you can goto the Control Panel and double click the Mouse properties icon.

Click the Device Select tab and check "Disable Touch Pad when USB Pointing Device is present." The cursor will no longer move via the touchpad.

I have a toshiba laptop the mousepad won't move.

First connect a mouse to your laptop. Click "Start" and open the control panel, click printers and other hardware and then click "mouse". Under mouse properties, click the "device settings" tab. Under the device window, you can see if the touchpad is enabled or not. If it is not enabled, click on the enable button.then click "apply" of "ok" button. Your touchpad should be working again.

My toshiba touchpad is not working

1. Go to the "Control Panel" and double click on the "Mouse" item.
2. Go through the tabs in the "Mouse Properties" window & find the tab where you can set up your touchpad. This differs from laptop to another since it is based on the touchpad's drivers.
3. On that tab, check & make sure that your touchpad is enabled. If it is not, then change the setting to enabled.
4. Click "Apply" to apply the changes, then close the "Mouse Properties" window.

If you cannot find a tab to set up your touchpad, then your touchpad drivers might not be installed. In this case, you will need to install them first.
