Can't snap a shot

-   I have a very similar problem : the screen is black, nothing works, and I get the message to turn the camera off and on again. I brought the camera to the repair centre when it was less than 4 months old. They kept it for 2 months, claimed they changed the lens. Less than 1 month later, the same thing happened again. I brought it back to the service centre, who then claimed that it is not under warranty, as they pretend that there is sand in it. The lens is moving a bit. During the first breakdown, it was fully moving, only not at the right time (when the camera was turned on only, and then it was going out again). I do not know what to do as I dont want to pay for the repararation, as they did not fix it the first time around. Please help.-   celcbou

-   Worked gretm for along while after purchasing. Now seemed like possibly batterie not working, charged put back in when trying to take apic. it delays on the click for a take, then reads access, can't shut off or on without removing batterie. Able to view pics in the camera and delte. But won't snap pic for a delayed amt. of time. Please advise. Leaving on vacation in the am and wanted to be able to use camera.

-   i press a button to turn it on and then it beeps. the screen then goes black and i press the snap shot button to take a picture and it beeps with the green led light going off then it just shuts off i click the snap shot button again and there are 00 pictures and i have repeated these steps so many times but no pictures seem to be taken -   Guest
