I have the SCH u740 and the phone is great but i dont have insurance and one day the phone decided to not work in the horizontal mode it works in landscape mode fine screen is clean no scratches nothing the phone just doesnt work in horizontal mode and lots of the things on the phone require it to be in that mode please help me

My Buddy gave me a Samsung sch -u740 phone, but it just goes through the Power on Self Test then shuts does it again and again... He said it just started doing that one day. Never fell in water or anything like that. Thanks in advance for the help!
Its not speaker its problem with the software in the phone. I had this problem on my phone and i did a software reset giving it to a repair shop and it was a easy and cheap fix . He re loaded the software by flashing and i was all ready to keep talking.
when water enters into your mobile it leaves tiny slat particles after it is dried.so the components on the motherboard are blocked by these salts so it is recommended to clean the mother board with isoparaffin solutions and then you can try your luck (or) you can let the pros do it take your phone to the service centre.
Mine did this before. i ended up having water damage and needed a new fone. i didnt drop it into water or anything, but i had it in my pocket in rain, and it slowly got worse and worse.
haha i love the phone but i recommmend wetting the screen and bringing it to the store b4 its dired out and dont get the battery or back of the phone wet. they should replace it if the screen is bugging out
If it is a Verizon Wireless phone and you have bought it in the past year, it is covered under warrenty. When mine loads it will start with a white screen before it goes to my pic on the main page. Did you try setting the background on the main page, change the wallpaper and theme, if nothing works, like I said take it back if it is still under warrenty.
