I would love to repair this! I am wondering though where the internal amplifier is located on this model.

  • ksoles9250 Aug 27, 2007

I have decided to do this on my own and I have gotten the chip out already and going to purchase a new one very soon. Thanks for your help

IT WORKED!!!! Thank you so much for helping me fix my saved me a lot of money!

Before it broke, I installed a little 200W amp for some more speakers and I was wondering if maybe I wired it wrong or did something else that may have caused the ic to break.
    Thanks again!!!

Hi.. DO you have a chrysler product? if so make sure you have the blue factory amp wire hooked up.. In any case i would get a little known good speaker(even a house stereo bookshelf speaker is fine) and test at least one pair of speaker wires for sound output right at the back of the radio. If you do not have sound output and your deck works fine otherwise then 99 times out of 100 the internal amplifier ic or "chip" is bad. I have replaced several of them. Phe part is not hard to find if you know where to look. It does require total dissassembley of the deck and yo uhave to be very skilled with a soldering iron and desoldering braid- but it can be repaired!.... le tme know if you decide to try to repair it an di will do my best to wank you through it..

yo uhave to totally take the thing apart. Is is a big "chip" mounded to the rrear heatsink...

I think the pioneer number is pal007 but some comlanies offer a generic replacement. You might not get quite the sound quality at very high volume but its alot more cost-effective.

But here sa secret...go on ebay and you can get the pal007 for about $17 if you look.
If i remember right its Item number: 320139125390

its not as easy to find from other vendors like it used to be...

you could and type in pal007 and see what happens..

Now if you do decide to do this you will need to le tme know so i can go through the process for you...

Excellent. Let me know how it goes. If youve gotten that far then you know its kind iof cramped. WHen it comes time to solder the new one in make sure you use very thin solder and a small tipped iron and with patience solder one pin at a time. If you get it too big of a hurry you may bridge two pins togther with solder that is no fun. Good luck!!! let me know how it goes!!!!

I just bought my new macbook air today, and suddenly after playing with the text to speech to iTunes- the sound stopped altogether, i get nothing. I just bought this a few hours ago! what do I do?

Open System Preferences, and click on the Sound icon. Under the Output tab, make sure "Internal Speakers" is highlighted, and the "Output volume" slider is not all the way to the left.
If that is the case, take it to the Apple Store and have a technician look at it. Since you only got it a few hours ago, they'll fix any issues free of charge. (It's under warranty for a year)

I have Harmon Kardon AV140 connected to 6 Klipsch speakers. All of sudden I know longer have any sound coming out of my front speakers. Everything was working fine a few days ago. Did we hit a button in...

Only the front speakers failing? All others ok?

There is NO configuration that would have NO front speakers.

Go back to basics, open the manual and use test tones for speaker verification.

No sound is coming out of the laptop.

Opened the unit up recently and saw the problem: detached wire from the speaker. All it needed was a little soldering to attach the wire back to the speaker and presto! The sound was on again.

Dell inspiron1525 laptop trouble

This is going to be a problem either with the sound card malfunctioning after the machine warms up, or feed back from the speakers due to a wiring issue. Either way, this is a hardware problem, and you shouldn't have this or any problem with the machine, especially with it only being 10 days old. Take it back for an exchange. Demand an exchange and don't let them give you the run around. When you get the new machine, you will see that you shouldn't have any problems with it for years to come. Also, don't let this bother you about Dell machines, they're one of the best machines on the market. Just like everything else, there are a few lemons.

Front speakers have no sound now.

Hups, apparently my friend put the speakers into wrong slots. Then i just copied him while trying different speaker setups and it simply never occurred to either of us to check if these were the correct slots :-D

Anyway sorry for these useless posts.
