Toshiba Gigabeat Won't Turn on at all

The subject pretty much says it all. The funny thing is that before when its needed a charge and I try to turn it on, the little empty battery thing pops up. Now, nothing shows up. I've tried using both a USB cable and the included charger to charge it, but neither work. And when I try to turn it on the screen just stays blank, nothing shows up. The screen doesn't appear to be cracked or anything, but it won't turn on.

have you only been charging it with the usb cable?
try plugging it into a ac adaptor, (make sure the button is in the off position at the bottom)
and it should hopefully restart, then turn it to the on when it's loaded, and leave it plugged in till it's completely charged

that might work

Toshiba gigabeat MES60VK (60 GB) stopped working

There is a little battery cut of switch at the bottom of the device. You can unbend a paper clip and switch it off. Then switch it back on after a few seconds. Plug it back into the usb cable to charge it. It should work ok now.

Toshiba gigabeat

gosh! where did you drop the gigabeat?? It must have been a hard fall, or in an awkward position, because I have dropped mine on cement so many times, but it has a tiny scratch on the back and nothing else.

I once had to send my gigabeat in to the company for repairs. They did a pretty good job, fixed it, and sent it back. I would recommend sending it in, because your problem seems out of your control.

Gigabeat 40GB screen frozen

well, it would be really easy to take off the battery. The battery is simply plugued with a little 3-pin wire, u just pull on it and put it back in. Now to open that gigabeat, its pretty easy. I even got some images for u. Go at this website (its for the F10 and u have the F40, but its the same thing): http://www.angelfire.com/bug2/gigabeat/

When you attempt to charge the player does they screen display the image of the charging plug? If not the battery may have died, in which case it needs to be replaced.
