Question about HP LaserJet IIIp Printer
Good day the printer warms up and shows 55 error service. the roll device that makes the paper enter works on continue . since i do not have the manual you could help with solution or tell me where to fond the manual on internet thank you
The 55 error doesn't boil down to one specific problem and most information will tell you the following: 55 ERROR (Internal Communication Problem) 1. Replace DC Controller PCA. 2. Replace Formatter PCA. 3. Replace both at same time. So sounds alot like the main board is starting into a nose dive, but seeing as that particular printer is on the older side, you might be able to find the part on the cheaper side, check out e-bay, they have some HPIII part around. Good luck.

Happend twice to me. What sometimes happens is that the paper roll was not changed at the time the ink was. Therefore the paper roll was allowed to remain in the printer until the very last sheet. On the last sheet there is a sticker that says paper out. (stupid idea) This sticker makes the last sheet of paper too thick to fit through the last paper guide / feed. Because of this, the ink film breaks and that specific error message is displayed until that last piece of 4x6 is pulled from the paper feed. Clear that out, and all is good.. Change the paper every time u change the ink.
