Cluth installtion I am going to put a new cluth on a 2000 Elantra will I need to to put a new fly wheel if I install a new cluth ?

You must remove completely the clutch lever at the transmission pressure plate bearing to disangage, to install you need a new bearing (when you install it, it came in 2 part when install it snap togetter) can not go down put it beside on the frame

if you can raise front of vechicle wheels off the ground with transmission out of park if you can turn one wheel and the other wheel turns there is no tranmsmission internal damage to the final drive gear.if you put in new clutch need adjust clutch.if clutch mastercylinder dry or low on fluid you need to add brake fluid bleed the air hydralic clutch system.

Did you replace the pressure plate?

had new clutch put in my hyundai coupe 1.6 and clutch slave cylinder . when i press the clutch and put the car in gear all is good but when i lift of the cluth the car starts to shake

Cluth cable ajustment if equiped.Some cars have a cluth cylender if your model has the cylender no ajustment is available.If you had your cluth changed at a garage you might consider takeing it back in for ajustments.If you changed the clutch check cluth cable for ajustment if your car is equiped with cable if not i would perhaps remove the transmission and inspect clutch for loose clutch plate or release bearing might not be seated properly hope this helped you.

Hi there, the Common Rail Diesel Inyection (CRDI) 2000 cc 112 Hp M/T have a big trouble on cluth plate, and sounds very loud between 1500 and 2000 rpm on 2,3,4 shift.That motor has too much torque and cause excesive wear in the cluth roll and plate so starts roominess in the cluth system. You could change those parts but quickly the sounds come again. Hyundai is the resposable of that damage. I hope in the near future recall the CRDI model 112 Hp and replace the cluth.

try pushing the clutch to the floor with you toes if it starts and won't unless you push to the floor its the clutch start switch 22 bucks at auto zone i will be gettng help installing the new one i will let you know.

sound like your clutch master cyl is bad. when you push the clutch how does it feel? real soft like there is nothing there. i have also seen the T_O brg go bad and damage the pressure plate.

yes the clutch is
well u have to take the gear box out
and the clutch is on the back of the engine


now the cable runs from the pedel to the gear box
if u look u will see a blck cable and you can adjust it
it might need adjusting
