Connect the supplied short RCA "Y" adapter cable to the mini jack of the transmitter base unit. Connect the "Y" adapter plugs to the TAPE 2 "REC" L and R jacks. These jacks will supply "line out" levels of any source selected at the Kenwood to the EWOS1 internal amplifier. The line out levels are "fixed" so changing the volume levels of the Kenwood will NOT change the volume out of the EWOS1 speakers. The EWOS1 volume will be controlled by the volume up / down buttons on the front of each speaker, or by the incuded remote when directed at the speaker(s).
The signals from the TAPE 2 jacks are ALWAYS on regardless of the source selected, so the Kenwood volume can be turned to minium and still provide an unchanged sound level from the EWOS1 speakers. Likewise, if listening to FM, Phono, CD, etc. in the room that the Kenwood's speakers are located, the OWS1 speakers will by playing the same FM, Phono, CD, etc program - unless they have been powered off. The point is, that unlike having to choose FM, CD, etc to listen to those soreces, you should never select TAPE 2 as a source. If TAPE 2 is selected, the KENWOOD would attempt to amplify TAPE 2's "PLAY" jacks, which I assume are not being used.
