File missing

hi,

you need to reboot using your windows cd, when prompted you can press r to repair disk, when you get command prompt, type chkdsk, system will attempt to repair files that are corrupt. If that doesn't work you need to boot from cd and reinstall software..

Windows? FILE MISSING is a pretty short error message. Usually there'd be more info, especially that which identifies the particular file that it's missing. This may be an item from one of your startup locations that has been deleted, or perhaps a hardware item that's missing some of it's necessary stuff.

Does your system continue to operate despite the error, or do you halt/freeze?
