Does it your first time to connect this camera to your PC ? Did you installed the software CD you received with the camera to the PC ? Check on the CD software you received with your camera whether it support your OS. In case it doesn't support your OS, go to the Panasonic web site and download to your PC the relevant drivers for your camera and OS. Good luck

Uninstall from your PC the camera's drivers and reinstall the software CD.
    It might solve your problem.

    Good luck!

Howmuch gb on sd for panasonic dmc fz20. thanks

DO NOT go for 4GB and beyond. I had purchased a 4GB SD Card but my DMCFZ20 camera did not support it. It has worked fine with 2 GB.

Computer is not recognising camera when plugged

Try with a different cable.
Try and find the camera in the file manager.
Try a different computer. You might need a picture programme

I need instruction booklet for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20 12X 35mm equivalent.

Hi,

You can download the required manual by clicking the link below:
http://panasonic.com.au/content/library/files/F000741.pdf

You'll require Adobe PDF Reader installed on your PC to view this manual. If it is not already installed on your PC, download it free from: http://get.adobe.com/reader/
Hope this solves your problem. Thanks.

Computer won't recognise camera to download images

** Problem Solved **

I found it wasn't the camera entirely to blame. I tried another USB cable on another pc, and although the camera was doing the same thing as my problem, the computer recognised the camera as new hardware, and asked me how to access the pictures. So I was able to get the pictures from the camera to the computer, and then saved them on to my Kingston flash drive. So taking the flash drive to my daily PC, I plugged in my flash drive via a USB extension lead, and discovered that would read either... alarm bells rang. So I unplugged the lead, and put the flash drive straight into the computer direct. The computer recognised it immediately. So plugging in the extension lead again, and the flash drive, it read this now. So I tried the camera, and it recognised it.

So I don't know exactly what the problem was, but it was solved... saved me a lot of running around and money ;)
