Hi,

I would suggest checking the model of the network card. Once you find out see if you can find it on this site:

http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/NETWORK-CARD/REALTEK/

Good luck!!

I have compaq presario Model CQ50-130US. I trying to find its drivers but invain. Please help.

(1) SATA DRIVER

"32-bit Floppy Configuration Utility"

filename = f6flpy3286.zip

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?ProductID=2101&DwnldID=17061&lang=eng

Unzip the contents, add one component (iaAHCI.inf) into your nLite (a free slipstreaming program) slipstream build and you will avoid Blue Screen of Death when you try to install WinXP. Note: select Intel(R) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller when you add iaAHCI.inf to your slipstream. Or you can just add all the drivers.

After you get XP up and running, you can install the rest of the drivers for the notebook:

(2) CHIPSET

"CHIPSET_INF Update Utility - Primarily for Intel 4, 3, 900 Series Chipsets"

filename = infinst_autol.zip

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProductID=2991&DwnldID=16026&strOSs=44&OSFullName=Windows*%20XP%20Professional&lang=eng

For the executable version (filename = infinst_autol.exe), use this link from Intel:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/16023/a08/infinst_autol.exe&agr=&ProductID=816&DwnldId=16023&strOSs=&OSFullName=&lang=eng

(3) GRAPHICS

"Intelâ® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows* XP (zip)"

filename = win2k_xp14364.zip

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?ProductID=2991&DwnldID=17116&lang=eng

You'll unzip the contents of that zip, and then point your drive update to the folder with those contents to update your graphics.

(4) AUDIO (2-step process)

(a) Conexant Patch (do this first)

"Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio class driver version 1.0a available for Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows 2000"

filename = kb888111.exe

http://www.filewatcher.com/m/kb888111.exe.682200.0.0.html

(b) Install audio drivers

"Conexant Audio Driver for Windows XP"

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericSoftwareDownloadIndex?lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&softwareitem=ob-10516-1&printable=no&encodeUrl=true&

(5) NETWORK ADAPTER (wired)

Realtek RTL8100E/RTL8101E/RTL8102E-GR/RTL8103E(L)/RTL8102E(L) NIC Driver 5.714

filename = PCIE_Install_5714_0216.zip

(6) NETWORK ADAPTER (wireless)

Atheros AR5006 802.11a/b/g WiFi Adapter
Atheros AR5009 802.11a/g/n WiFi Adapter
(version 7.6.0.114)
