Re: i can't turn on my sansa e250

Try removing the battery of the player and put it back in then try to power on the player. If it will not power on try removing the battery and connect the player to the computer without the battery if it would turn on then i guess its the battery causing the issue. You can purchase any battery from any local electronic shops out there like best buy, wal-mart.

Reformatted sansa e250 need help

When you format it, it deletes everything on the player. You'll just have to put everything back on it.

Reformatting help

Here's a new tip from another user - let me knwo if it works, b/c I have loads more advice:
ok so i called 1-866-sandisk and she told me how to fix it. you just flip the key lock at the top so you see orange, then hold down the record button. then you should get some sort of message on the screen. then you plug it in and under my computer a file should show up. you open it and make a folder in it called sansa.fwm (i think thats the right folder name, if not, try sansa.tmp or email me). then you unplug it and it should say formatting or something like that. once its done it should work.

My Sansa e250

Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out:

It wont turn on...

it is probably a internal problem you could tear it apart and try to fix yourself or ask sansa to give you a new one because if you didn't do something like drop hit ect to it
it could be defective
