Actually as you told that you have replaced ink cartridge sometimes ago so with the new ink the effect of primary colors is more and when you print on the high quality the effect of primary color is more. If you are printing the photos with software the try to print it on medium quality, even on low quality, The result will be fine. You can change the setting of printing in any software. After a time while when the ink will be used the result will automatically fine even on High quality.
I hope you have a clear picture in your mind.

Maybe the toner is low... According to the manual, a blinking red light:
• A minor error is occurring and the printer is waiting for the error to be cleared. When the problem is cleared, the printer resumes printing. • The toner cartridge is low. Order a new toner cartridge. You can temporarily improve print quality by redistributing the toner. See page 8.3. • The toner is totally exhausted. Remove the old toner cartridge and install a new one. See page 8.4. • The toner cartridge reached the end of its life.
try the following:
1. restart the printer spool service in by going into the services applet in the administrative tools section of control pannel
2. check if there's an updated driver for your printer:
uninstall the old driver and printer, reinstall the new driver and printer then test http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&rule=8638&product=303753&
(copy the entire link in the browser address box and hit enter)
there is a pending job queued, unless this file has been released and printed you cannot removed the light from blinking. pls cancell all doc spooled on your pc and select cancell all, press the cancel button on your printer as well then turn off and on your printer
Ink buildup in the internal service station causes the small poorly designed pusher cogs on two drive gears to snap off and the printer is instantly converted to junk. HP was giving new printers out for this problem till Jan 06 or so as they realized it was a poor design. I fixed one with parts from an electronically damaged unit, but usually the blinking lights and "won't print no matter what" problem are sheared gears. Parts are not available. Some people made metal gears (the only answer) on a very short run basis in Europe several years ago because people LOVE this printer. Once you know the problem, it's simple to keep it from happening with some maintenance, but once they shear, it's over. There was some kind of paper-clip fix that was solving the problem even with sheared gears, but I was never able to understand exactly how it was done. Needed a pic or two. Otherwise a great printer, huge cartridges last a long time, great quality on photos too. I have to keep mine running to have a happy wife.
hi, the blinking is caused by a fault in the printer, means it needs to be serviced, its usually more expensive for them to fix it than buying a new one, but you can get there number off the canon website.
