when my mac speaks to me, its choppy and distorted. when i try to watch any videos what so ever (whether it be YouTube or Apple.com videos) the speech is great, but i get only certain frames of the video rather than the whole thing. i have a mac powerpc g3 with 10.4.11, 600mhz processor and 640 mb sdram. its up to snuff as far as it can go. is there something else that i may be missing?

- no external drive. still works for internet and music on itunes, but no videos. thought maybe i could bypass that with all of the upgrades that ive done. do you have any suggestions to fix this without having to buy another computer. im only 21 and im EXTREMELY short on cash! (too busy paying bills and rent)
Your computer was dimensionned for Os 9 and is globaly a little bit weak (sorry) to read full screen videos and 16 bit sounds. on the internet (apple.com and youtube) the videos are over compressed to fit in small connections. But reading .avi or .mp3 necessits hard computing. (sorry for my english)

- unfortunately, if it's the chip... if you have an external DVD drive, try to read a DVD. It might works well, because DVD compression is easier to compute. But your computer still working for light applications

- You have several way: - give more space on the harddrive : Monolingual - you can put 1Gb Ram (2x500Mb) on your mac (big lungs, big breath) - use VLC for videos - disable Dashboard, who is eating your ressources: type 'terminal' in spotlight and in the window: defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES
then relaunch computer Perhaps this will give some vitamins to your computer
