Question about Asrock K8 Combo-Z Motherboard
I recently purchased a new 250 GB WD SATA HD, and I am trying to install it on my Combo Z. The support disk that came with the board was stolen from me so I downloaded all the support files from ASRock's site. I created the floppy for use to install SATA RAID drives with XP. I load the CD and boot from it and press F6 so that I can choose to use the RAID drivers provided by ASROCK (Windows is unable to see the HD if I do not provide the driver manually). When the installation asks for the driver, I put in the floppy with the drivers. I then get an error telling me that the first line in the txtsetup.oem file is invalid. I have been fighting this thing for a week. I have another WD SATA 80 GB drive as well. I cannot seem to get either to be seen. HELP PLEASE!
Try running scandisk on the floppy disc to fix errors with the txtsetup.oem file.
