Will not turn on - battery is charged

The product was working. We opened the software because we wanted to put in more music and there was an update. We tried to do the update, it didn’t seem to work. After that the product was working again. We deleted all the music and tried to upload more using windows media player. It took maybe 45 min before it said it was done. Then it didn’t work. When we turned it on it said OPAL initialing and never initializes.

We tried holding the menu / power down for 10 sec. Tried several times. Now it doesn’t turn on at all – does nothing.

We tried audiovox as listed in product folder & they say I have to have a receipt. I don’t have a receipt as it was a Christmas gift.

Hope you will be able to help.

Thanks, Carol

Hi Carol, I'm not toatally familiar with that exact product but many like it have a removable battery. If yours can be removed it may need to reinitialize the whole system. Removing the battery should reset it. It will take 30 seconds to a minute for all the power in the unit to disperse. Make sure removing the battery will not cause loss of any critical settings or data. Also make sure the battery if it is Lithium has not gotten wet. It will ruin the battery. If the battery is swollen it is a good indication of having gotten wet.

When I turn on my ipod shuffle & hit play it blinks green and orange several times and won't play

The Apple iPod shuffle is a digital music player that contains a single indicator light that relays information about the device's battery condition, computer connection and any errors the device is having. The indicator light is capable of blinking red, green or orange as well as displaying a steady red, green or orange light. The iPod Shuffle includes a Universal Serial Bus interface and buttons on the front of the device for controlling music files.

Blinking Orange A blinking orange light indicates the iPod Shuffle is receiving an update via iTunes to the device's internal components. The update could include a patch to repair an error the player encountered once before, an update to the player's file-saving software, or a combination of security, repair and software updates. Updates are free and automatically sent directly from Apple through iTunes to your iPod shuffle before a sync process starts. Disconnecting iPod Shuffle When the player's light is blinking orange, do not unplug the device from your computer's USB port this will stop the update process and possible corrupt the device's internal hard drive. Let the update process and sync process finish before clicking "Eject" within iTunes and removing the player. Disk Use Enabled If you use your iPod Shuffle as a flash drive and not as a music player, a blinking orange light means that the device is connected to your computer and ready to accept files. The "Disk Use" enabled setting is changeable within iTunes if you decide to use your iPod Shuffle for music storage instead of file storage. When set up as a flash drive, the iPod Shuffle is assigned a drive letter by your computer's operating system and the drive lets you "drag and drop" files to the device. b> Charging If your iPod shuffle's battery is completely depleted or low on charge, connect the player to your computer immediately for charging then leave it connected to receive any updates to the device's software and internal components. Its indicator light may or may not blink orange until after it is fully charged. If the battery is low on charge or completely depleted, you may receive an error stating that the iPod is corrupt or needs restoring, close the error message and let the device fully charge.

Hello,

This usually occurs when the battery low on power.
If the battery is fully charged, then updating the software will usually help.
This can be done using the Garmin WebUpdater program.

What probably happened is the battery slowly drained on the shelf and its shot. Basically the type of battery in these (and a lot of other devices) can not be left with a very low charge for long periods of time or it degrades them. What happened is the battery just degraded and now cant hold a charge.

Nokia 7210 music player does not work.how to solve the problem

If ur mobile is showing the not enough memory when music player is opened then here is ur solution!!
This problem is due to software problem or due to a virus
there r 2 solutions for this problem....
1. Update ur mobile software using the latest Nokia Software Updater present in Nokia PC Suit (update).
This is ur own risk. U should have a stable internet connection and the full charging of ur mobile battery as if ur mobile update is interrupted, ur phone no longer works. So Be Careful.
2. Simple go to ur nearest nokia care center and give Rs.300/- if u dont have warrent and get ur mobile updated. If u have warrenty, it is free .
CAUTION: BEFORE UPDATING OR TAKING TO THE NOKIA CARE, PLEASE BACK UP UR DATA PRESENT IN THE PHONE MEMORY. BECAUSE ONCE UPDATE STARTED, UR DATA WILL BE LOST PERMINENTLY.....

I have an Apple iPhone 3GS with the 4.1 software. The iPhone keeps switching itself off. I would lock the screen and want to unlock it a couple of minutes later and then it is switched off. The battery...

Software glitch or battery issue. Backup and save all your data and music. Then reboot and re-update the software. If that still don't fix it, then you got a problem with your battery power management. The system thinks the battery is low and automatically shuts off to preserve the contents. Try charging battery fully overnight with the power off and see if that helps. If not, then you will have to see the Apple dorks at the Apple store for a replacement phone. Cheers.

Olympus DM-20

second did you do product upgrade

http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_support_product.asp?id=921

this is a link to software update

did you know that your recorder has usb connection
now most usb connected products usually have chargible battery's and some can only run with particular chargible battery i would try new propper chargible batterys and then dock to the usb station it should show the battery charge output and input you might have some chance fried your recorder by putting in non chargible battery's

there are places that exchange recorders but never heard one that repairs them you might want to take back to where purchased and exchange for new

Zune charging problems, hardware problems

I had a 30g w/same problem. I installed the Zune software from CD. Plugged the Zune into my USB jack and waited hrs for the full screen battery icon to go away. It never did. Here is what I did to fix it. I left the Zune disconnected until its battery drained and the lcd went dark. In this state, pressing the play/pause button, caused the full screen battery icon to appear briefly before the lcd went dark again. With the Zune disconnected from my xp pc, I ran Windows Update in express mode. I have Windows system restore and auto-update turned off and rarely update my pc, so I also took the opportunity to take a manual system check-point (so I could restore from the check-point if an update trashed my pc). I took and installed all the latest Windows updates. When it was done, I had all the latest security updates and IE 7. At this point I went to http://www.zune.net/en-us/products/zunesoftware/download.htm and downloaded the latest Zune software. I installed the Zune software update. I ran the new Zune software on my PC and found the device tab. NOW I connected the Zune to a USB port on the back of my PC. The full screen battery icon appeared on the Zune but nothing appeared in the Zune software. I left it this way for a few minutes. It occurred to me that I might get more power through the USB port if I turned off my other external USB devices, which I did. Within a few minutes, the Zune FINALLY came to life and a Zune splash screen appeared on the device. The device booted and was FINALLY recognized by the Zune software on my PC. Shortly after that I noticed that it already started synchronizing with my PC music collection. I figured it would charge up and download my entire collection (20gig) so I grabbed some sleep for a few hours. When I returned, the PC was asleep too. Unfortunately, the Zune was not charged and had stopped sync'ing. Not to be discouraged, I woke up the PC, exited the Zune software and left the device charging for an hour or so. When I returned, the device was about 80% charged. I quickly disconnected and played my first music video on the device!!!! I reconnected (the Zune software auto-launched) and left it sync'ing and charging for a while longer. When it was 100% charged, I disconnected and have been using it for a few hours. It was a long painfull road to get this thing setup, but it was WELL WORTH IT! I am already a huge fan of this device. In fact, I'm considering passing this one on to my wife so I can get the 80gig. Hang in there, it's worth it!!!!

PS: one sidebar -- I have noticed that the pc software will only sync about 800 songs in a session. I have simply been restarting the sync to get the next session going. At this point, I am fully synchronized and have 4.5 gig free.
