Maybe I wasn't clear enough on my problem. The tv has been working fine on HDMI for 2 years. One day I turned it on and had no sound on HDMI, a few minutes later the picture went out. I checked my inputs and went to the menu and the HDMI is grayed out. The tv works fine in high definition through the component cables. I tried the HDMI cable on another tv and it is fine therefore I thought I needed a new HDMI module, I just don't know where to buy one. If there is something else I can do besides replace the HDMI module, please let me know.

My Sagem Axium HD-L32 tv has suddenly stop recognising the signal from my Virgin V+ Box (cable tv). I am using a Monster HDMI cable and also two scart cables connected to my tv via a Samsung DVD-HR735 Recorder/player. Can you to re-start (kick-start) this conection again?
    Many thanks: Jay

sagem axium HD L32 tv worked on high definition for one week then suddenly 'no signal' appeared on the screen and I cannot watch HD tv. I can watch TV through the v+ box on 'normal' tv settings. Cable engineer says the tv is faulty. Could there be another reason that the signal has gone?

I have a Panasonic TH-50PZ80U which is 2 months old. I have connect to the TV with a HDMI cable from my satellite box. Has worked fine but all of a sudden the TV had a "power off in three minutes" message. TV will produce no picture via HDMI cable but will through component cables. I have two HD satellite boxes and I've tried both neither will produce a picture via HDMI on this TV..

Sounds like everything works. Your remote has an input menu. Have you cycled it around to the right component? i.e. HDMI1 or HDMI2, or DVD, even PC?
If not, try that.

Viera TH-L39E5K. Why isn't HDMI connection working?

Try a different HDMI cable first into all ports. Try every HDMI cable you have. Then try a different component into TV HDMI ports. If you are using the receiver to switch inputs, try running HDMI cable straight into TV. HDMI is very finicky. Some cables won't work or stop working for no apparent reason.

My volumn doesn't work when using the HDMI cable

Your TV and the cable box may not be compatible via HDMI or the digital audio format of the cable box is not set to PCM (contact your cable provider for information on how to change this on your cable box... too many models to speculate). The easiest solution is to use the component connections on the box and the TV (5 wire - Green, Blue, Red, White, Red). This will give you HD and eliminate to question of compatibility. I hope this was helpful, best wishes.

First, HDMI is not a perfect hook-up solution. Cable box connections via HDMI are notorious for being problematic. The best thing you can do is contact Samsung and get the latest firmware for your TV.
Samsung Customer Care: 1-800-Samsung (1-800-726-7864). If this does not resolve the issue, connect the cable box using Component cables instead of the HDMI. Component cables are HD also. I hope this was of some assistance.

not 100% sure but check the manual for your tv it may be that you need a faster hdmi cable, as with having a larger tv it will work at a faster rate so the basic hdmi cables wont work.

I have a hitachi 42hds52 tv; i have my cable box connected to it by both hdmi and coax cable. the coax is fine, but the hdmi is not working

Try the anothe HDMI input or cable or try HDMI from another source (DVD) you could also try component in(Ry,Gy and By) to see if that need first to determine if it's a cable box, cable or TV issue.

by befault your dvd recorder is transmiting signals via component video, so what you need to do is this connect both cable HDMI and Component or just a video cable then go into setup and then select video out via HDMI your video will go off on the screen and then with TV remote slect input source HDMI on TV and it should work fine.
