Re: HP Pavilion xt1170

- lcd backlight inside the lcd, or the inverter itself. Can you see a very faint image? - Very hard to tel if it's backlight or inverter, or both. Each part costs about $30. Backlight: inverter: ebay Labour is not included, but will cost roughly $75. Still much cheaper to repair than to buy new parts from nanufacturer.

What could be wrong with HP Pavilion f1503 screen?

This is usually faulty capacitors. They are in charge of regulating the power of your monitor, with time, they will go bad. The replacements of this capacitors is usually under $10 or $15 usd.
You will need to open the screen, identify, unsolder and buy the new ones to later on solder back and BOILA!

Hp dv1000 laptop, just replaced lcd inverter, still no back light. You can see the screen is working just no back light. The led is on on the inverter.

You need to verify that you do have 9~12vdc feeding the inverter board. Did you see the backlight turn on for a second? Worst case will be bad lamp.

well as i see from your problem explanation i believe that the LED which are at the backside of your LCD screen is not working so its better to troubleshoot from that angle.

Screen is dark and contrast and brightness are up to max, can a new bulb be put into the monitor?

To replace the crt picture tube will be an expensive exercise as they are not bulbs as such but the entire screen needs to be replaced as they are a complete unit.

Power led on hp monitor flashing

mham2525, Did it have a "perfect" picture on it yesterday? You do know that if the COLD-CATHODE-FLUORESCENT-TUBES that are hung on the rear of the LCD PANEL fail to light, all you get is a BLACK screen to look at!!!!! OMG, What shall I do now???? It sure would be nice if all we needed to do was remove the cover and then screw-in 4 new CFL light bulbs into our monitors. YOUR UNIT WILL NEED TO BE TROUBLESHOOTED AND REPAIRED. MOST LIKELY A SMPS/INVERTER BOARD FAILURE. CALL HP TO SEE IF THEY HAVE A SWAPOUT PROGRAM. Bye for now. lmistyrel

Hp pavilion f1703 blue monitor power button flashesw/ dark screen

Have you tried connecting this monitor to another computer, even a laptop. This would tell you whether the display is bad or the video card is the culprit. I suspect the monitor's power supply is dying. Taking it to a pro for repair should cost @55.00. Buying a new monitor @ $100 - $125.

Hp screen problems

Pls check if the connections are proper and if the monitor is turned on.
Once you have checked the above thing, if the screen still doesnt come on, then the monitor has to be serviced or you may try connecting another cable from the monitor to the computer.
