Ricoh DVD+R/RW Problem

By lawyer - usenet poster

Installed Ricoh RW5125 DVD+R/RW burner and latest f/w
version 1.51. Running XP Pro SP1.  Explorer wizard will
not erase RW media.  Immediately jumps to end of wizard
saying to try again to be sure it was erased.  Have Nero
5.5.9.14 installed.  Lets me compile a dvd and start
burn, but errors in first minute displaying "SCSI Target
Error".  Have the latest Nero ASPI driver in Ahead folder
and have 4.70 aspi layer installed in XP.  Any ideas?

Hi,

Try use the 4.71 version of ASPI.
Go to Bart's page for ASPI http://www.nu2.nu/aspi
I use it for my CD burner and it works perfectly. It only
took 3 minutes to burn a VCD about 600MB. But I'm not
using DVD burner and am not sure it works OK or not.
