Lost manual - it won't turn on
iPod touch 8GB: lost manual - it won't turn on. I don't even know how to get inside to replace a battery (if that is what is needed).

- Because I charged it, turned it off for a few minutes, then tried turning it on. No go.I have actually found the solution to my problem. I needed to hold in both the turn on button on the face of the iPod and the turn off button on the top edge -- both at the same time for 10 seconds or more. That is how you reset it according to the person at the Apple Store where I checked later.

Do you still have your USB cable to connect it to a PC? Or power adapter to connect it to the wall?
If not, you can probably find one on EBay or some other such site.
It probably just needs to be charged. If you can get a USB cable for it, it will charge from most PCs without the need to install any software.
