Re: x box 1 to pc monitor

There are special units that you can purchase to do this, other than that, there really isnt a decent way, unless you get an lcd with component inputs

Xbox360 to pc monitor

HDMI to DVI works better than HDMI to VGA because VGA only uses simple RBG scheme.

Additionally the only way i see the Xbox getting connected to the extrenal speakers is if you get the speakers connected to the monitor/tv or whatever you are using directly. I havent tried or do not know of any way to connect the Xbox to speakers directly.

No input signal VGA/Xbox

You are doing nothing wrong. The best thing to do, which you are doing, is to eliminate possible problems. Try a different cable, monitor etc until you narrow the problem down to a single component.

How do we connect xbox consul to imac and play

There is no way to connect the original XBox console to an imac's monitor. There was never an hdmi or VGA connector that was worth buying made for the Original XBox.

The XBox 360 has a nice VGA adapter. But no the original XBox, sorry!

No, but you can buy cables to hook up to your pc monitor to watch it instead of a tv.

You need to set the monitor up. I have a 42" LCD TV, and there is a menu where you can set the aspect ratio to 'Auto', 'Full Screen', or "4:3". I had a similar issue with my DVD player. I'm sure if you go through your monitor setup menu, you should be able to solve this problem.

Transfering of saved music from the orig xbox to the pc...

It depends entirely on the monitor. Some have a standard video-in but otherwise there isn't really an adapter you could use. If you take your xbox apart you'll find the hard drive in there is a pretty standard IDE hard drive, and you can plug it into your PC internally. You'll have access to all your music files and they will all be .wma files.

Cannot get wireless router to work with Xbox 360

Does the westell router only have 1 ethernet port, if so a ethernet hub would be better, they can be baught for about £10.
You will need to input your account settings for your broadband conection into your new router for it to work, with this router all you actually need to do is connect it to the 360 with an ethernet cable, if you want to use it wirelessly you need to buy a wireless adapter for the 360 for about £30 - £60 depending where you buy it.

Problems with screen

problam can be with cable, screen, or xbox. try replacing cable first, it is the cheapest and therefore can save you alot of pain. if another cable doesnt solve it, try hooking xbox with another screem (TV or something), if it works, its a screen problem - check for overheating. if it doesnt, you got yourself a messed xbox im afraid.
