Question about Sony DVDirect (VRDVC20) DVD±RW Dual Layer Burner

Frozen It did work for a while but now whenever I swtich it on, the screen comes up with DVDIRECT logo and then it doesn't do anything else, just completely frozen; won't even switch off.

Take the burner to be reaired sounds like on of the chips have gone for the burner to give you the freeze out then won't turn off. hope you get this sorted.

Yes and no... you can not hook it up directly to your computer and burn copies of pix. You can however transfer your pictures to a memory card (SD, MS or CF) and then put that in the VRD-MC5 and burn your pix.

Finalize Error

You can not retrive unfinalised disk because no path was put into place to read the information that was burnt. Data yeap was burnt but way of reading it was put into place.

a code 10 error refers to a hardware failure, where the dvd cannot be communicated with due to it being faulty.

"Failed to Record"

1. go to device manager / right click on cd drive / uninstall driver / reboot and windows will reinstall driver 2. go to My computer right click on cd drive properties - check digital cd playback recording - check enable cd recording on this drive driver - update or uninstall reboot your computer Goodluck!
