there might be something wrong with the card reader. Or something wrong with your card. Try cleaning them with something (not a tissue, that will make it worse). If that doesn't work, it's probably something wrong with the internal wiring and such, so there's not too much you can do about it
well i would have to say that playing a game from a usb drive is not dependable, think about this for a second. The playstation 2 would have to somehow read the files on the usb drive, but then also take information off the drive to run the game. that usb port wont handle that much data, its just not possible to have ur ps2 trying to run a file on something that can only send so much data to it. Even a HardMOD[ meaning a chip is installed physicaly] its still hard to imagine someone trying to make that possible, but see if you have a Big ps2 then a hardrive is the only option, see the old ps2s were supposed to have a harddrive option but it endded up being a part of a game FFXI, so if you have a hardrive for the ps2 then you simply SoftMod it[ Software that mods the ps2 either threw the gamegenie or codebreaker and other programs, but the new ones dont have that option of a harddrive and if you have one you are out of luck using a harddrive as storage, but there is something called disc swapping.
see when you open ur ps2 tray theirs three or two buttons inside the slim ps2 that tell the ps2 when the dvd tray is open and thus it wont read a game till you close it.
but by tapping those key buttons down{ google how to do this,] you can burn a ps2 game and then with one legit ps2 game you first use the legit game and let it read then swap out the legit with any burned game and then one more swap and it allows you two play any burned game with just one legit game
with your r4 card it may read like how it reads dvd's with a ds its like a region code. depending on what region your ds is and what ever region the r4 card is you dont get anything if they are totally different. some r4 cards usually correspond to the proper region code or close enough to it. if thats isnt the case then you have a problem with the ds card slot... i hope this was of some use :3
i had the same problem once but just with one game.has the micro chip ben touched
a lot if not you probly need a new game sensor instaled . ya know some dont work .......
i mean the ds sorry or you need a new ds relllllly sorrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
where did you buy it ? i just bought one from china site beltal and have the same problem it cant read any data its not the games as they all work in another ds. the company wont change it they are saying i didnt buy from them and that there is no warrenty , i put the code into nintendo and it does not reconize it, i belive i bought a fake.
did you try to clean the pins (carfully) this sometimes works for me, their is no one i know of that sells the slot reader, as for replacing it you will need to desolder and resolder the 18 pins plus the 4 that hold the shell down
had this problem, i looked into where the game goes and one of the little metal teeth was bent, so i took a long toothpick and gently pushed it back over now it works fine. Be careful that you dont break it off though.
