The numbers 2303 is the model # for the Cartier Francaise Chronoflex..not usually considered a ladies watch because of it's large size and three complicated looking dials on the face of the watch. I had seen fake regular Francaise (no dials) using that model # on them before. If the face doesn't have 3 dials on it, it has the wrong model # on it so it maybe a fake. It's hard to tell without a real one next to it...maybe if you go on eBay and look at the real ones in the up close pics, you may see other differences or similarities to yours.
If a watchmaker or good jeweler opens the back they will be able to tell. Cartier is very reluctant to authenticate their watches on the spot..it is a long process(leave the watch) for them for a fee. But other stores that deal in used Cartiers will exam it if you tell them you are interested in trading it. Try a Tourneau Watch Store, they're upscale used Cartier carriers. Good luck.
