Factory reset have all kinds of problems tired of all kind of things needing to be fixed but does not work no mater ho hard I try.

It sounds like you are in the Store Demo Mode. Turn it off and see if that fixes it.

Try doing a hard reset or factory reset . If that doesnt work i am afraid your touch screen digitizer has stopped working ...

Here are the steps on how to restore factory setting or how to do the hard reset on your N97:

The first thing that you have to do is to backup all the store data on your phone ( only the stored data on your phone will be deleted,the data on the external memory card and mass storage will not be affected ).Kindly turn off the phone after doing the back- up. And then after that slide the keyboard out.Press and hold SHIFT, SPACE, BACKSPACE, AND THE POWER BUTTON AT THE SAME TIME. Kindly HOLD the keys. The phone will be turned on, you will see the white background, then the Nokia logo, still HOLD the keys. DO NOT let go UNTIL you see NO more changes on the screen. And then after that kindly Let go the keys. Your phone should go to the Setup stage, where will ask you to choose your country. If you see the country setup, this means the hard reset is successful. Otherwise you will need to redo the process again.

I had the same kind of problem with my 32GB Transcend USB Flash drive. I tried all the things I found in the internet (Apacer software, Registry fixes, Kingston software, HP Flash Disk software, you name it!) but nothing worked. Always I got Write protected error. Finally I found the program called MiniRMATool which solved the problem. Search MiniRMATool_XP2K_v1.rar in Google, run it and then you will be able to format your drive.

i now seem to have this problem "generic host" message shows... once this message appears, the sound is gone and playback audio device has vanished!

Just try to reset your router and enter again the router configuration..

anyway, probably the sim loss its contact to its sim terminal... try inserting together to your sim a folded paper same size of your sim( just to compress your sim to its rterminals)... be sure not to cover the sim terminals...
