Problem for Sony SLV-D350P DVD Player / VCR Combo
DVD player disc tray won't open

The player worked fine for several years and suddenly stopped opening. I had to take the entire case apart to get the disc out to return it to the rental place. The display reads "open" for 20 seconds or so and then reverts to "LI" or the time. The problem is the same whether I use the remote or push the eject button on the unit.

- It helped me decide to get a new Blue Ray! I thought it might be an easy fix but now I'm confident that it's not.Best Solution

loader mechanism has malfunctioned and is not user serviceable at a reasonable cost. replacing this unit would be your best bet
