Re: nintendo ds

First remove the new case and see what you get - if it all works fine then the case must be pinching a cable or pressing on something it shouldn't. Check the unit with AC only or battery power only. The faint click is probably the power switch membrane clicking across - probably indicating that the switch itself is fine - but check at least visually and with a meter if you can. the most likely causes of the problem if removing the case again does not get it working are; Loose connector - probably where the screen hinge is, or where those cables connect to -check anything that you could have moved. Is it an official original case? some cheap copies may be badly fitting, although I found no info on any problem like this so far. If you have a card inserted, try with a different one or without one. check nothing got in the card slot and no pins are bent - especially if you just put a card back in after replacing the case. Especially could be problem if your DS was set in Auto start-up mode before. Possibly unconnected to the case change, the power supply or battery could have failed. Check through this link and see if it helps identify if that is the problem. Do you get any power or charging lights? nintendo do not recommend it, but it may be worth removing and reinstalling the battery in order to reset the unit. proceed with care. Here is the link to the manual if you need it; Hope this helps - please post back with more details :)

I turn on my ds green light comes on bottom screen flashes then turns off

    • 1 Turn off the Nintendo DS, and place it on the charger. Leave the device for 45 minutes to allow it to gain a full charge, and then power it back on. Weak Nintendo ds lite batteries may cause screen flicker.
    • 2 Turn off the DS, and remove all game cartridges. Turn the system back on to launch the main menu.
    • 3 Click the small sun icon to open the brightness menu. Adjust the brightness level using your stylus. Turn it up to max to improve back lighting.
    • 4 Check that the Nintendo DS is open and in the locked position. It must be open to its default position to operate properly.

Nintendo DS Lite Problem

That sounds like your DS lite have a lose circuit part rolling inside so thats why it cant turn on.

You need to open the console, recover the lose part from the inside and resolder it in its place (usually near the power switch, marked as L2). That should fix the problem, if not then you might have blown fuses, lose screens ribbon cables or broken LCD screens. All of these repairs are discussed in other questions here.

Nintendo ds lite

The switch is broken. This is a common problem if the shell case has been removed or if someone simply pushed way too ******* the power button. A new button can be purchased on ebay for under $10. Some soldering and desoldering will be required. The DS Lite is breakable when taking it apart so be careful. You can also send it to a guy like me for a fee and have it fixed or sell the broken unit to someone like me that fixes them.

Time and date

While the unit is OFF, push down and hold the START button then turn ON the NDS. You can try the same with the SELECT or both buttons down. That must grant you access to the DS main menu.

By default the DS load the game cartridge when only one slot is used and let you choose when two slots are used. So if both slots are empty the menu must appear though your case would be very rare.

Good Luck...
