Question about Toshiba e-Studio65 Copier

1 Answer

FINISHER PROBLEMS The finisher on my toshiba e studio 65 has stopped feeding paper. The copier works fine other than it wont run through the finisher. It is getting power when plugged into the copier though. I took the side cover off and the LED lights are lit up, but there is no other sign of it registering with the copier.

Firstly you have to check what teh copier is set on i.e tray1 or tray2 , select one of the trays, and try to print this should work if , otherwise place the paper on bypass tray right hand side try this, somtimes the sensors are displaced which detect paper, try this and let me know.

Second hand Ricoh FT7950. Paper wont feed from

Going strictly from memory as this is an older model.
With the machine sitting ready to make a copy open the finisher door and close it . Are there any signs of life ie rollers spin tray moves stpler homes up?
IF yes I would look at the finisher entrance sensor as these get pretty dirty ith paper dust(or could be out of alinment from moving.

IF No then I would look at the finisher connector inspect for any damage .
Hope this gets you in the right area

Paper jam and message C570 - Call for service

The C570 is a communication error between the finisher and the main unit. Check to make sure the connector from the finisher to the copier is plugged in properly.
You could try re-seating connectors on the finisher board - it may help.
Make sure the power supply to the copier is not being shared with some other piece of equipment (like on a power strip) that could be causing interference/noise to the power supply for the copier.
If problem persists..could be bad IPC board(finisher) or CPU board (copier).
Hope this helps

Toshiba e studio 232 screen shows

is the finisher tray atach and connector plug in? it's possible that the connector was unplugged while the machine was on and an memory error apeared! if so, unplug the copier from power source, plug in the finisher, and plug in the power corde . if it won't work you shall check also if all doors of finisher are closed and if wasn't broken one of the sensors!

E-studio 810 problem

There are a couple of different switches that could be out of alignment, or not "making" when you reconnect the finisher. If you will look on the copier, at the latch that connects the finisher to the machine, you will see a pointy shaft about 2 inches long. This rod comes in contact with a switch inside the finisher. There is a metal actuator on this switch that could need adjusting. Not a difficult job, but it will require you to take a few covers off. Also, there is a black push button on the finisher that is actuated when you push the finisher to the machine. If you are looking at the back of the finisher (the side that connects to the machine) it will be on the lower right hand side. It it operated by a connecting rod inside the finisher. This rod could have come loose. Again, not hard, but requires cover removal. Also, when you locate this particular push button, try manualy pushing the switch to see if this makes you message go away.

As for the black spots, this could be any number of things, but I suspect that that it might need a cleaning blade and brush, and maybe just a good cleaning in and around the drum unit.

Hope this helps,

E-studio 28 copier

You may hve to adjust the finsher to close with out any force. There has to be a inter-lock switch that has to be closed to show that the finisher is closed.
