According to the TigerDirect specifications for the device, it does include the Map of Canada, Mexico, the Continental USA + Hawai and Puerto Rico.
But you don't have to believe that. You should visit the TomTom Website. You will have to visit it anyway if you buy the device: That is where you will get your updates.
I have PR map on my Garmin. I have used it with no problem. Did you update your map from the Garmin site? Garmin 1450 does not come with PR map pre-installed if I remember correctly.
Puerto Rico is included with the latest 'USA' or 'USA & CANADA' or 'USA & Mexico' TomTom maps. Depending on what map came originally with your unit, you can download the required USA map either for free or for a fee via 'TomTom Home' while connected to the internet. Alternatively, you can get it from a retail shop or from Tomtom directly on a DVD. It is a new Map, it will need to be registred to your device: you cannot just simply copy the maps from somebody else ... WARNING: unless your unit came with a SD memory slot or came with 1GB of internal memory, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE those rather large maps! For instance, Tomtom One V3 in Australia only come with 512K and NO SD memory slot! Hope this information is useful: let me know how you go!
