Cant pair htc one m8 to play music

Be aware most phones need other connection for a wireless (bluetooth) head phone for music as they need for a headset with microphone, to make calls. The phone will use different protocols, what works for the one, will not work for the other.

Just brought a HTC wildfire and I cant find bluetooth to turn it on .

Bell;
Important:
  • For you to listen to music with your headset or car kit, the headset or car kit must support the A2DP Bluetooth profile.
  • Before you connect your headset, you need to make it discoverable so HTC Wildfire S can find it. You can find out how to do this by referring to your headset manual.
  1. From the Home screen, press howtoimage.aspx?id=106492, and then tap Settings > Wireless & networks.
  2. Tap Bluetooth settings.
  3. If the Bluetooth check box is not selected, select it to turn Bluetooth on.
  4. Make sure that the headset is discoverable.
  5. Tap Scan for devices. HTC Wildfire S will start to scan for Bluetooth devices within range.
  6. When you see the name of your headset displayed in the Bluetooth devices section, tap the name. HTC Wildfire S then automatically tries to pair with the headset.
  7. If automatic pairing fails, enter the passcode supplied with your headset.
The pairing and connection status is displayed below the hands-free headset or car kit name in the Bluetooth devices section. When the Bluetooth headset or car kit is connected to HTC Wildfire S, the Bluetooth connected icon howtoimage.aspx?id=106796 is displayed in the status bar. Depending on the type of headset or car kit you have connected, you can then start using the headset or car kit to listen to music and/or make and receive phone calls.

My motorola h700 wont pair to my htc hero.when i hold the button down on the bluetooth, it lights up blue for 5 seconds then the light goes out

go into settings, look for wireless controls or bluetooth, should ask you to pair with the name of your bluetooth if it wont, turn off the bluetooth in the phone and turn off the bluetooth itself by holding down the button for about 6 secs till the light blinks a few times then goes out. turn the bluetooth function on on the phone FIRST, wait till it says its on, then turn on the bluetooth itself by holding the button down until the light blinks a few times then you get a solid light, it wont stay solid, it will blink a few times then go out blinking from time to time. go back to your phone and find the bluetooth menu and it should ask you if you want to pair, hit yes or whatever option you have and it should start pairing and then connect or you may have to hit the connect option if you have one they dont all connect automatically sometimes so you have to go through all this when you charge the bluetooth or turn it off. good luck.

How i connect my note book to my htc bia bluetooth

Hi,this is a detailed step on how to connect your htc to your notebook via bluetooth. STEP 1. Turn on the bluetooth of your htc which is accesed at the connnectivity settings of your phone.
STEP 2 Ensure you also put on the bluetooth on your notebook, most notebooks have a single button in front of the keyboard,to turn on the bluetooth. STEP 3 You now go to the bluetooth settings on your phone, and click on 'add device'.when you click on it,it requests for a pass code, when this is done for the first time, this pass code can be any 4 digits of your choice. STEP4 After entering the pass code on the phone,a pop up shows on your notebook requesting for the same pass code you entered on your phone. Ensure you enter the same pass code for both the phone and notebook,if not the devices won't pair via bluetooth.
STEP 5. After entering the pass code on the notebook, the notebook is automatically paired with the phone via bluetooth, afterwards you can be able to transfer files between the phone and the notebook via bluetooth.
Thanks and take care

My htc hero pairs but then says paired but not connected. It cannot then be found so i cant send or receive any thing through bluetooth also the phone dosen't connect wirelessly 2 my livebox (orange...

The Hero has a rather crippled Bluetooth which is one of the reasons I'm sending mine back.

For security, when you set the phone to be discoverable it only stays that way for 90 seconds. This cannot be altered unless someone works out how to bypass it with an app but I understand from HTC that this feature is built in at the firmware level.

Look down at the devices list in the Bluetooth menu and you'll see what's paired with the phone; press menu and you'll have the option to connect.

Bluetooth on this phone cannot be used for file transfers of any kind. It's only there to enable connection of devices like headsets and external keyboards and that's about it. You can't even take a photo and Bluetooth it to another phone. There is no way around this at present.

Not connected with your question, but have you discovered the annoyingly expensive and non-alterable trick which it does when you want to send/forward long SMS messages yet?
