Re: Trouble activating

You do need Tiger (OS X 10.4.10) or above to connect to an iPhone, 10.3.9 does not have the appropriate software to connect to your iPhone. Do not forget however that Leopard (OS X 10.5) will be released soon so hold off upgrading until it is, you'll be glad you upgraded anyway and you'll also be able to connect to your iPhone. There are in fact 1 or 2 ways you can connect to you're iPhone from 10.3 (or any *NIX for that matter but they are very technically involved and will not provide the functionality you are looking for.

I bought Apple iPhone 4s model a1387 I can't login?

You need to be more specific. You can't activate it or you can't login? If it's asking for an iCloud password, that's an anti-theft feature of iOS 7 and you won't be able to use or wipe the phone unless you get the password, or the account owner releases the device for you. You need to contact the seller. If they stated in the ad that it's "iCloud locked out" and don't allow returns, you have no other recourse than selling it.

You will need to restore the iphone in itunes and with iOS 7 you dont need to put a passcode on you just bypass and say no code
you will be able to get it to connect to itunes by putting the iPhoe in DFU mode.
here is how you do it
open itunes and plug your usb cord into the computer.
plug the usb cord into the iphone.
turn the iphone off
now, hold the power button and the home button down for 10 seconds. count it out. the phone will go black. after 10 seconds let go of the power button and continue to hold the home button for 20-25 seconds. you will see the phone pop up on itunes in recovery mode.
click the summary tab and press restore.
once the phone restores it will come to the activation process.
if you can get your itunes account info then go through the process and enter the information. don't put a passcode on. you dont have to.
if you have your itunes info you can accept the activation and restore the iphone from an icloud backup or just start new

My phone will take a picture but not display it

If your iPhone gets to the Silver logo but restarts from there again and again then it is an indication of problem with the booting system. This often results due to Jailbreaking or updating your iPhone to latest iOS without enough battery life. You can fix this easily by entering into DFU Mode.

A DFU mode stand for Device Firmware Update mode which helps you to make small changes to the software that is exactly responsible for running your device. It is most often confused with Recovery Mode but it is very comprehensive than that. To enter into DFU mode follow these steps

Step1: Connect your iPhone with Computer

Step2: Since your device is turned off you need to hold down the sleep/power and Home buttons at the same time for atleast 10 seconds. Be patient in this step and make sure you hold these buttons for exactly 10 seconds because otherwise you will enter into recovery mode.

Step 3: After 10 seconds have passed, let go of the sleep/power button, but keep holding the Home Button.

Step4: Now Apple Logo will appear on you iPhone but you should not stop holding the home button until recovery warning pops up on your iTunes.

Step 5: A difference between DFU and recovery mode can understood by observing your iPhone screen. If it is black then you are in DFU mode and if shows a cable connecting to the iTunes icon then you are in recovery mode. The latter cases you will need to repeat all the steps and this time you should lay more emphasis on Step 3 and Step 4. It is normal if you don't get there in first few tries.

Once you are in DFU mode you can downgrade your iPhone iOS in case the new version has created the problem.

Hi i have a new i phone and i want to activate it

iPhones are usually activated at the service provider's store where you bought it. If not, you must call them to assist you of activation.
Sometimes, to activate an iPhone, all you need to do is to insert the right carrier sim card that comes with it (e.g. AT&T in the U.S.). Know who's the Carrier (service provider) in your country that have the exclusive rights to sell iPhones, then buy their sim card for you iPhone.

Find somebody with an AT&T sim card, put it into the phone and plug it into itunes to get it up an running. Otherwise if your not using AT&T you're gonna have to jailbreak the phone to use it. If your a prepaid AT&T customer, you can activate it but you gotta call AT&T at 800 331 0500

My Iphone wont turn on

If you are comfortable with opening devices you can take a multimeter to the battery. If the phone doesn't turn on if you battery has 3.7V or more you have a logic board issue. Oh, did you do a hard reset yet? Press menu and sleep/wake button together for 5 sec. If after all revival attempts you still don't get it to turn on It's usually an issue with the logic board, so ultimately if you want to resolve it, the logic board needs to be replaced. There are iPhone Repair guides that show you how.
