The htc g1 camera takes pictures with a messed up color scheme

check the camera settings (eg. NIGHT/DAY/LIGHT SETTINGS ETC...)

ALSO THE CAMERA WILL NEED OPTIMAL LIGHTING< OR ELSE YOUR PICS ARE GONNA ****>> it's a crappy cam.... most phone cams ****.... if you want a camera for quality, buy at least a 10megapixel digital camera... CANNON or SONY are my preference... shop around......

Also, try turning the phone off, removing the battery, and reseting it that way...

I'm pretty sure it's a defective CCD sensor inside the phone, especially if the image has an overexposed look and the shapes of objects appear distorted. If you can't get a replacement under warranty there is both an T-Mobile G1 Repair Guide and a third party T-Mobile G1 Repair Service, If you try a self-repair make sure you feel comfortable with opening devices that are not meant to be user serviceable.
