Cannot get Sanyo logo to appear on the TV screen. Power comes on and "Play" light comes on.

Amazing that so many have this problem where the unit comes on by itself and no controls will work. Unplugging doesn't help.

Unplug the DVD player, and plug it back in.  Turn on the power by pressing the power button on the DVD Player.  You should see the disk icon in the upper left hand of your screen.  Press the eject button on the DVD player.

I have been having problems with the Model DMW-400 that I have been trying to troubleshoot.  The above method worked for me to retrieve a disk when none of the buttons were working.  Hopefully it will work in your case.

My Toshiba SDP93S portable DVD player won't work.

The power supply adapter may be dead, should be tested, if okay! remove the main battery will load player down in some cases. If still no result! cheaper to replace than repair.

I bought this unit to copy DVDs and have only used it a few times in 2 yrs I now have zero power to the unit nothing works! I took the cover off and tested the in line fuse its ok now what?

Condensation might have caused the problem.I presume it has stood for along time.

The best thing to do is put your dvd in a warm room (not directly infront of hat), plug it in and leave for 2-3 hours.

Then try again. Fingers crossed!
