Question about Creative Labs ZEN V Plus MP3 Player
Reset the Zen. Then hold down the play button and power it on. Release the play button when you see the Creative logo. It will display the following options: Clean Up Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library. Does not affect music files themselves. Format (All) Caution! Erases all content! Save a copy of your player's content before formatting. Reload OS/ Firmware Caution! Erases your player's firmware. DO NOT select the Reload Firmware option unless you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install. Reboot Reboots the device.

My player got stuck on a song, right at the start, with the volume displayed too...nothing i could do would fix it. I couldn't even turn it off and the screen was getting hot too. So i came here and read these solutions...number 2 worked fine...the reset button is located just inside the little hole. But you need something really small to get in there, i used a straightened out paper clip...thank you SO much. I thought it was broken for good!!

Hey there...! i tried solution #2 by samuishark and it worked like a charm. i understand there's a lot of problems with freezing on the czv plus players. hopefully this will work for lots more frustrated people. i'm so happy...thanks!!!

Used samuishark's solution, worked perfectly! The only thing I can recommend is to use a round toothpick to shove into the hole (the pointy ones); I could not find an object to fit inside the hole otherwise. Thank you! =)

Take the battery out and it'll stop...but it most likely will freeze again

I'm having the exact same problem. it's been stuck like this since yesterday afternoon. i pressed the reset button and i turned it back on and it got stuck on the rebuilding library, also the battery wont die, and i don't have a clue what to do!

Hit the reset Button on the side. It's a little hole you have to poke something through to hit it.

This has happened to me a few times, as far as i know, there is nothing you can do to turn it off. You just have to leave it until it runs out of battery.
