From the motherboard to Cabinet, there are two connections, one goes to the power on and other to reset. Try changing power key by reset to check the problem is not with the key !! Thanks, Rajesh Deodhar

The manual you need will be on the board manufacturers web page, howevr I will bet you have the case power switch and perhaps the reset switch on the wrong pins on the mother board. To check this, remove the switch leads from the mother board, then use a small screw driver and bridge the pins on the mother board a pair at a time. All of these leads plug on to the board in a line and not across the two lines of pins. when you get the mother board to fire up by this method geet a torch and look closely alongside the pins you will see the letters PWR SW or RS SW. It does not matter what polarity these two sets of leads are plugged onto both will work. The LED lights on the case front will only work if the polarity is correct but it will not do any harm if they are backwords. On the board you should se two sets of pins marked HDD and PWR these are the led light pins you will know you have them right when the usual red and green lights are working at the front of your tower. NEED A NEW UNIT OF POWER SUPPLY ATX-400W REV T1

Most computer testing facilities will test your current power supply for free. A replacement is very inexpensive to replace. Bestbuy, MicroCenter, small computer shops and buy replacemnent from Amazon.com, newegg.com.. Just make sure you have the correct information for your replacement. The model number on the power supply would be your best bet in most cases. Good luck and have a great day. I buy power supplies as low as $15 dollars Generic

Why does my computer shut off by itself? it is a hp pavilion a305 pc desktop. we tried cleaning all the dust out but it didn't help

HP skimps on powers supplies which causes them to run at near-capacity and eventually fail. That case should accept a standard ATX supply but if buying on eBay (suggested-lots cheaper) check with seller for compatibility. Do NOT replace the old supply with the same power rating; choose one with 50% or greater capacity; i.e. replace 250W with 350-400W. It won't cost hardly any premium or use more power, just run under less stress.

My dell dimension b110 quit working one day and just flashed an amber colored light. I was told I need to replace the power supply. Is any 400W 20+4-pin ATX PSU w/SATA compatible?

Yes, just make sure it's ATX (not ATX mini etc but you'd see from the connector anyway) has the right motherboard connector and all other connectors. Also I'd go for a 450W as if your 400w died it may have been from a power surge that a 450W or higher would handle better.

Computer won't start The voltage switch on the power supply was accidently changed to 230. Is it fixable

Most likely not, the power source is dead, replace it. It's a standard ATX source, any 400W one you can buy from all IT shop will do.

What power supply should I buy for a gt4022

The computer has a 300W powersupply from factory, I would buy a 400W powersuplly for it, depending what components it has inside, if the video card is upgraded to a new one 300W won't be enought, and in that case even 500W might be a good choise. if its with the original parts from the factory it should do fine with either 300W or 400W. ATX here are powersupplies: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=40000058&Description=400W%20ATX%20power%20supply&name=Power%20Supplies note that if the link isn't clickable then select it completely, copy and then paste it to your addressline to open the page.

Power supply packed i n

Yes, you can safely put in equal or higher. Just make sure it is an ATX and that it is P4 compatible. Most new ones all meet to those specs. Higher is actually better. I would go with a 400w or higher.

Need new power supply but having problems finding one.

power supplies are available many places on the internet, especially on ebay. Try this search on ebay: power +supply +ATX +400W. This is for a 400 watt supply which should be sufficient.
