Sony mex 3100p hand free phone no sound

Hello there,

Have you tried checking to see if the Bluetooth settings on the phone are set to (Hands free) on the paired devices menu. When you go to Bluetooth paired devices menu tap and hold the Ford Sync connection and see what mode it's connected in. The option your looking for is Hands free / (HFP).

If that sounds long winded you can do a quick test call your voicemail or anyone you'd like, once the call has connected press your menu button on the phone and see if there's an option like (Transfer to headset / Bluetooth, etc)

There may be linking issues between the headset and the phone. Page 11 of the user guide offers these suggestions. Also, here is a link for re-pairing your headset to the phone:

Remember that you want to purge any possible bluetooth interference from your phone.

"Callers cannot hear me or I cannot hear caller/dialing tone:
The headset is not turned on or the headset is not connected to mobile phone. Press the call control button for 2 seconds until you hear a beep or see the indicator light glow blue to turn headset on.
Your headset is out of range. Move the headset closer to the phone or Bluetooth device.
Your headset battery is drained. Charge your battery using the AC power adapter supplied.
The listening volume is too low. Press the volume key up (toward the earloop) to increase the sound heard in the headset."

My dear friend, the problem is simply that the earphone of the bad/ damaged that is why you cannot hear anything on the phone. As long as your caller can hear you but you cannot hear them, then it is confirmed, because, the speaker is on a different side of where the earphone of the phone is.

The solution is just for you to have the earphone of the phone replaced.

But before replacing the earphone of the phone, you can use a bluetooth hands-free temporarily or an external earpiece that you can connect to the phone and be using on the phone temporarily before replacing the earphone of the phone.

Using a bluetooth hands-free or external earpiece is quite cheap and is of easy access.

Your phone's microphone is not working and so it must be checked. See that the is no block to the microphone pores-- the small hole for the voice to be taken to the mic.
IF so use a hands-free to check if the circuit is working. If so the phone has no issue except a fault in the microphone or a connection fault in the hands-free.
You need to remove to check and must attempt only if you are confident.

It sound like a faulty microphone, try and follow the wire to see if it is trapped somewhere, mabe down the side trims.

try pairing the bluetooth device to another phone, i had the same issue, i used a different phone for testing. it works, so i paired it to my phone and it also works
