Problem for GE Security Simon 3 Wireless Home Security System
GE Simon reset
Hi - I have a GE simon #3 system and I have a sensor that went bad. I have a new sensor I want to replace it with, but no matter what I do I can't delete the old sensor. I go through the delete menu, it deletes, but isn't really gone. Help?? I am perfectly willing to do a complete reset of the alarm and delete everything, but I can't find how to do that either.

In order to do this, you must have the "installer code". This is not to be confused with your master code which you use to disarm your system. Once you have this code, enter it when prompted, press delete, press sensors, when proper sensor is announced press done to accept, system announces that sensor "x" has been deleted. There is a default "installer code" (1234 or 4321) but many suppliers such as ADT change it to prevent owner tampering.
