Speedometer not working properly 2003 v-max

My speedometer only seems to go up to 80 km/hr when I am sure I am going much faster...the speedometer seems to move slowely when increasing speed. I took apart to ensure that the ends of the speedometer cable were conected properly and all seems to be tight...is it possible that my speedometer cable is worn out?? I have 28,000 km on my bike. Is there a fuse that I need to look at?

Please advise

Easily checked. Get a friend to drive at an indicated speed in a car or another bike. Good reference point. If the speedo is driven by a cable remove at both ends and inspect for frayed wires on the inner cable. Just slide it out of the outer housing.

The heater in my 2003 silverado 4.8 l only works when travelling at 80 km/hr or over. At low speed in town it only blow cold air. Would this be a thermostat problem?

It sounds like your coolant may be low and the higher rpms are forcing more coolant through the water pump. And yes your thermostat may be weak and stuck open.

97 Cavalier brake chattering at 80 km/hr or higher

Sounds as if your brake rotors are warped from overheating. You can have them machined to take this out if they are thick enough. This should take care of the problem, if not replace rotors.
