Simply remove the battery and let the machine set for 2 days. This will erase all data. Or you can do a shipment set, which sets the machine back to factory defaults.
function then 7
Monitor four times then press the * key
press 6
up arrow until you see Ram Initalized
press Start
wait for it to complete, it will restart its self
press Stop twice to get out.

I am a technician. If I was asked to resolve this problem I would; remove to main board from the machine. The main board usually holds information that is stored in the fax machine, such as date time phone numbers access codes etc. Examine the board for damage to components. if a battery is present remove it, if possible. Let the board sit , over night if possible. Using a small screw driver, short all viible capasitors, they hold charges. Then replace in machine. prior to doing this take all electrical/ ESD precautions. If your codes are not gone then you may have bad circuitry. Replace the board ,if possible, with a new or used board.

Our dx-800 reads OUT OF TONER INFO CODE = 041. We have replaced the toner several times. This was intermitant over the last month. We would unplug and repower and it would go away for a while.

Toner sensor holder kit (The silver part in center, directly below the toner) needs to be replaced by an authorized Panasonic repair center. Call Panasonic for one in your area.

The part should cost no more than $30-50. takes 5-10 minutes to replace. Most service places charge minimum 1 hour fee and possibly travel fees. so you are looking at $125-250 repair bill.

If the unit is out of warranty, Panasonic won't do it for free.

I have replaced the sensor kits on numerous DX-800 and it basically avoids displaying the toner errors, and you replace when print becomes light...the good old fashioned way.

DX-800 beeps with Incomplete Info Code = 720

Error Code 720: Cannot connect to the Pop Server. (Incorrect Pop Server IP Address) Pop Server is down.

Solution: Check the Pop Server IP Address. Contact the network Administrator

Regarding the beeping noises. The DX-800 has multiple settings for beeps, rings and the dialing monitor. If it is the latter, press MONITOR button once, then press the DOWN arrow, until silenced. Some ringer/beep settings are under Fax Parameters, some are in a special SERVICE MODE.

let us know if you can isolate which one and we can help turn it off. At least now you know what the 720 code means.

Good Luck!
