I bought a new battery but the contact won't work. I would like to call forward from my microscan 2000 to cell phone while my sn920 isn't operational. Any ideas?

Hey, same problem. Push and hold the hangup button. It will prompt to insert sim , but I only have one. The phone works. The website and the manual are useless. Just gotta play with it, I guess.
I had the same problem. I bought two new batteries before I figured it out. The three brass connections on the phone that normally touch the battery tend to curl up after several battery pulls like a finger curls up into a fist. After you remove the battery, gently scrape the brass leads on the phone with your fingernail until they extend out onto the chrome area beneath. If it doesn't work then try again. The charging leads are not making the connection to the battery because they are bent or curled up into the phone. If it still doesn't work then there's something else wrong.
Batteries sometimes get like yours, after a full charge they last only a couple minutes on the tool. It's usually because of a bad cell in the battery. The only fix is to replace the battery. If you just bought it, take it back for an exchange of the battery or whole tool kit. If the retailer you bought it from won't exchange it contact the company it came from to find out how to get the battery replaced under their warranty.
If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Since you have a new phone and a new battery and is still doesn't work ... the first step should be to take it back to where you got it ... have then evaluate it for possible replacement.
Remove battery, clean contacts between battery and phone, also be sure to use an original Motorola charger instead of one of those "universal" type chargers.Hope this helps!
