Suspect drum bearings

I need advice on how to replace the drum bearings on an LG WM 1480FHD washing machine and what if any replacement seals will be needed. Information on where a service manual can be obtained would be extremely useful.

My WM-1460FHD is noisy when spinning, and slight movement of drum is possible when stopped - pretty sure bearings need changing. Can get spares, just need to know how to fit them. Why no service manuals available ?

    THANKS

Most lg front loaders have the plastic outer drums which have about 16 h/duty screws holding the two halves together. extreemly tricky to strip to gain access to inner bearing and seal. Th/stat, motor, piping and other items have to be removed and dissassembled to enable drum to be removed. that repair i suggest for a service repair.

This is what "OE" Means :

"OE" Drain error. Cause: not fully drained within 10 minutes Check there isn't a kink in your drain hose, ensure the filter is clean, the drain hose can become clogged with sludge, sometimes a hot wash with 1/2 a cup of vinegar will remove this sludge

How do you change drum bearing on lg wm-1290fhb washing machine

It is a difficult job in terms of handling! You require spanners and bearing puller. You require one extra assistance to hold the drum and pull from the front.

You have to change the full set of Bearings with same type and design. Check the bearing housing and the shaft before fixing new ones! Replace the water seals if any

Having trouble separateing drum from tub to replace bearings on LG wm1480. Do I need to use a puller?

Use a rubber mallet or an oak block to cushion the hammer blows. Be careful not to bend the shaft or your drum will wobble. Also don't ding the spline on the shaft.

Lg washing machine wm-1460fhd door locked wont open

We have a WM-1480FHD, with the door stuck shut. It appears the door release mechanism in the actual door has broken, so when you pull the lver part, the catch is not released. You need to get a very flat knife, insert between the door and the front of the machine, right in the middle behind the release handle and push the hook towards the right side of the machine.Once open, you can check the release mechanism in the actual door. Ours is broken, so need to sort out how to repair/replace it next!

LG WM-1480FHD Bearings help.......please

ACTUALLY CREEKY WITH BEARING AND SEAL REMOVAL, YOU NEED CERTAIN TOOLS AND KNOWLAGE CONCERNING THE PROCEEDURE. TO DO IT AS A D.I.Y.REPAIR ONCE OFF IS POSSIBLY NOT VIABLE DUE TO DEFINITE DAMAGE WHICH WILL OCCUR. SUGGEST A TECH.
