Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T1 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Power cycling My T1 sarted turning itself off and on while in the cradle. I was downloading pics to my PC. Power to the cradle is not connected. Only the USB cable. Also, it appears that openning or closing the lens cover is not always turning the camera on and off as it should. Power shows 45 min left. I have removed the battery and it looks OK. Contacts appear clean.

Re: Power cycling

This seems to be a circuit fault check the manual[Full manual on the software CD in PDF] And look for any fault indicators. If no sign then the manufacturers Support If it is 'young camera' it may be replaced. But a 'Repair' will be pricey

Trouble downloading pics from my Coolpix L100

Are your batteries fully charged? Direct Camera to PC transfer uses a lot of power. Some early L100s could not use rechargable batteries - unless you downloaded new firmware fron Nikon. That needs a card-reader. Once you have a card-reader, use this to download the pics, so that the PC supplies all the power.

This is ether focusing motor itself or CCD sensor is starting to malfunction. In either case it should go to a repair outfit. If I am right and it is a CCD sensor you can have it repaired ( sensor module replaced see enclosed pic ) FREE OF CHARGE BY SONY.7761b2a.jpg

Can't download pics

Dear daj43

I think u have not installed the software for it on ur pc, incase u have installed the software and still it persists, try to notice if the software is loaded and running when connecting the camera. I would always suggest u to remove the memory card and use it in a memory card reader/writer to transfer the images to pc.
