- Thats exactly what my problem is...I have finalised the DVD on my handycam and now I want to burn it on a normal DVD. But when I insert the minidvd in my comp it does not show up any files that i can copy to my hard disk. However on the left hand side where we get info about used space it shows entire space of the dvd used...SO I am unable to copy the contents of mini dvd on to my comp
-   we have encountered this problem at least 4 times. when we were currently recording or having a movie pictorial, a part of the handycam was accidentally touched and a message that says "disc accidentally opened" and "recording disable" after that all the previous pictorial/recording vanished. we had no way of retrieving the very important event recorded on cam.
-   have finalised disk, but when i want to download movies into my itunes program, mini disk reflects nothing.-   sandyvv

-   My daughter in Australia has the DCR-DVD605 and has copied the folder/file to her computer. She can play it with Cyberlink. She would like to separate the chapters so she can post to Snapfish and I can see them in Canada.
She has done exactly this with a Cell phone video and it worked great.
Would you please give us some steps to follow.
Thanks.-   Bypass35
The disc needs to be finalized before you play it on other equipment. But to do this will render the disk unusable- If you intend to record over it in time, So it is best to copy the info across to the PC- burn that to a disk and finalize it then most other DVD players[Not all] will run it.
