I too replaced the lamp after it was getting quite dim and one day did not fire up. The red light was blinking, so I replaced it. Now when I turn it on, the light starts to blink twice red and the lamp will not turn on.

Do you have the correct lamp? the x1a takes an sp-lamp-009, that has 2 white wires, and not the more common sp-lamp-018 which looks exactly the same except has one white and one red wire (and are in different plug positions). if it still doesn't light, there is another issue (possibly the colorwheel) along with the lamp timer reset.

InFocus X1A - while watching, the picture went out and then the unit had a flashing red light where before its always been constant green indicating the unit was on. I dont have a manual. Any ideas?

check the lamp. if it has bulges, black spot, fogging, or flaking, or dust is clogging the side vent screen, replace the lamp. if the lamop is ok, check the colorwheel. if you hear a high-pitched whir, the wheel is ok. if you hear grinding or chirping or nothing at all, replace the colorwheel. if both are ok, replace the power supply. you can get parts from an infocus service center or send it to one for repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

Lamp burned out on X1 infocus projector, Replaced lamp, new lamp stopped working in about 5 hours, got another new lamp and it does not light at all. Still blinking 3 red blinks(saying the bulb is bad)

make sure the colorwheel is spinning. if it is not, replace it. also, blow the dust out of it with canned air. excessive dust kills lamps quickly. you'll also need to reset the lamp timer. are you using an sp-lamp-009? the sp-lamp-018 looks exactly like it, but is used in th x1a and x2. the x1 only uses the sp-lamp-009. if all else fails, replace the power supply.

Projector turns on for about 30 seconds then shuts down. the fan kicks up high, and led light flashes yellow for about 4 min until the fan shuts off. does not feel hot so overheating does not seem to be...

if the lamp lights and then shuts down, replace the lamp. it's at the end of it's life. to rule out overheating, blow the projector out with canned air. dust retains the heat that the projector is trying to expell. also see if all of the fans are working. if you do get an image for a short time, try to get into the menu to reset the settings to factory default. lastly, if all else fails, you have a ballast issue. unfortunately, infocus no longer sells parts for this model.

My bulb went out in my x1a so i replaced it now it

is the led on the top of the projector blinkng at all? if there is no led lit, the fuse on the power supply may be blown or the power supply itself needs replacing. turn the projector on. you should hear the fans and a high-pitched whir. if you don't hear that whir or it sounds like a noisy motor, the colorwheel needs replacing. if it sounds good but no light, make sure you have the correct lamp. the x1a takes the sp-lamp-009 lamp. it should have 2 white wires, each at opposite ends of the plug. if you have a lamp with a red wire and a white wire, you have a lamp for an x2. also make sure the lamp door is closed completely. if the door is closed (hitting the switch), the lamp is correct, the led is green, and the sounds are good and it still does not light, the ballast is bad and needs replacing.

Infocus X1a no picture, solid green LED

if the lamp is new, it could be the power supply (the ballast is built in to the ps). but make sure you have the right lamp. the X1 and X1a have an sp-lamp-019 and the similar X2 and X3 have an sp-lamp-018. the lamps are almost identical except for the wire configuration on the lamp plug. make sure the wires in the plug match the positions in the socket. also, when you turn it on, if you don't hear a high pitch squeal, the colorwheel is not working. and if that isn't working, the lamp won't either. also check to see if the lamp door is closing properly and hitting the switch at the top of the opening.

Infocus x1a shuts down after 5 minutes

3 red flashing is a lamp error, not the fans. the lamp has a problem striking. make sure it's pushed in and plugged in all the way. if the lamp is not that old, the power supply needs replacing.

Infocus led diagnostic

it might be overheating. clean off the dust filters (bottom towards the front). if there's not enough airflow to cool it down, the projector will shut off to save itself from damage.

Infocus x1a projector shuts down after 30 seconds - dust problem ??

There is a safety themostat inside the unit (looks like a silver button the approx size of a dime) that will shut the system down if you do not have adequate airflow. You can dis-assemble the projector by removing the screws on the bottom and rear of the housing and pressing in the plastic locking tabs inside the cover all around the perimeter but I would advise against this unless you are comfortable with delicate nature of the projector.
