Music Management Software for Virgin VM-500 (by 3 users)

posted by venkesh on Aug 14, 2007

The website www.virginelectronics.com no longer exists. In the past I had to reformat my VM-500 and reinstalled the virgin software (from their site) and reloaded all my music etc. This MP3 player only works with media player 10 and requires the music management software to be installed. The music management software never came on a disk but was on the hardrive of the MP3 player and of course I lost this when I formatted. Their website is no longer around, so where in the world can I find the Virgin VM-500 music management software ?? I have trying searching for it all over the web with no success. Can anyone out there help me ?

man, you mod's or admin's need more advice and help, your uploading complete non-sense! weee need help with our VM-500 players. If your not going to help why bother wasting bandwidth. We need Firmware upgardes not a single file!! we need the installer to Install the firmware!

how to fix this problem? simple....Download the P2505.MI4 file loacted in the link above. Format your Virgin 5GB player. In the root or F:\ of your Player. Create a folder. Name this folder as "System" drag the P25025.MI4 Into this folder. Un-plug the Virgin player and boot it up. This will re-load all folders and fix the player. Now, Plug the Virgin player back into the PC download the "Virgin5Gb_file_.rar" (located link above^^^^) and extract and run the installer. Re-boot the machine and finish install. Once that is done get Windows Media Player10(un-install windows media player 11 it will go back to 10) if you have Windows media player 9 it will work too!. Hook up the Virgin player, go to the "SYNC" tab, and browse for the music located on your PC/Hardrives. Now select the music you want! SYNC it, to the player and voila! it shall work. as i fixed someones player on here already. These mod's/admins know nothing of what the word "Help" Means. Im supprised they succesfully logged into this site -_-
