I have a Toshiba P205-s6337 I have ran vista ultimate and Windows XP Pro with no problems. I took a while to get all the drivers but now that I have them I can upload them and share. If anyonw needs them just drop me a line and i can post a link. I did compress the files into a rar file that i split into2 parts. 1st part is 100mb 2nd part is 78mb compreesed with winrar at maximum. scanss2k@gmail.com is the address if anyonw wants the drivers posted, I can host the files so it wont be a goofy rapidshare link

- When I decided to Downgrade/Upgrade my P205-s6337 to Windows XP Pro, Like everyone else I found out that toshiba just wasnt supporting XP on their new systems. So started the search for drivers. I spent a few hours and finally got them all together and got the laptop where I wanted it to be.
Ok here's what I decided to do, Firstly I installed windows XP, got all the drivers installed and made sure there were no driver errors or any missing drivers. Then I used Driver magician and backed all the drivers into a folder.
I then put a copy of driver magician into the folder, compressed it using winrar on max compression and uploaded it to my server. Install the demo of driver magician and use it to do a driver restore for the drivers in that file. Archive size is 21mb and uncompresses to 71mb http://www.celtekusa.net/uploads/p205driversplus.rar
I then got all of the drivers that I had used and compresses them into a rar file using winrar and max compression These are all seperate folders when the archive is uncompressed. The reason for splitting them into 10mb files is because i have a sucky upload speed and I kept getting errors when i tried to upload one big file or even split into 2. Archive size is 134mb uncompresses to 140mb, Reason is the drivers inside are mostly all the Original exe files.
Hopefully this will help you if you have a p205. I used these on a p205-s6337. I know they will work with other models as the hardware used accross toshiba models seems to be pretty standard. I didnt include the driver for the camera, its a real easy one to get and i sont use the camera on the laptop the resolution is way to low for my purposes. I have a sd/video camera hooked up
Atheros Wireless Lan
Chipset Driver
Controller Driver
Flash Card Driver
Realtek Driver (lan)
Agere Modem
SD Reader Utils
Realtek High Definition Audio Drivers
Intel Matrix Storage Manager
Fingerprint Utility with Drivers
Mobile Intel 945 Drivers
Wireless Lan Intel Drivers
Unfortunately friends, XP is being phased out. When we in the U.S. allowed Microsoft to become a virtual monopoly (by ignoring our own experiences with the railroads, the telephones and other greedy corporations such as the oil companies and the evil empire of MS) we allowed congress and the courts to ignore the Taft Hartley Act so this is what you get i.e. you bow to the Master, take the crumbs he gave and thank whatever God you pray to that he spared you your life despite your insolence. You will get your machine to work (eventually) but probably not completely because it is designed to work with Vista. This is the first GUI from MS that appears, so far, the be (nearly) "...a fully operational Death Star." (Star Wars)

- I have the same laptop: P205-S6307. This is what I did:
XP
After taking it out of the box I pressed the power button
just to see the Toshiba Logo. I shut the power off and installed Windows XP.
One of the first questions they ask is where one wants it installed. I removed
all the partitions and created two roughly equal sized partitions and formatted
the first one and installed XP. I had to use another system to download some of
the drivers – especially for the LAN and wireless drivers. Once I was connected
to the internet I ran Windows Update and under the hardware listing, found more
drivers and installed them. Some of the Vista
drivers will work in XP but most do not. Make sure you go to intel.com for the
chipset drivers if you are running XP.
Vista
I borrowed a Vista DVD from a friend and installed it with
his key. With the LAN driver
Installed, I called Microsoft because the OS had to have the
key changed to the correct one on the bottom of the laptop.
Now I had two operating systems running on the same machine because
Vista detected that XP was installed on the
hard drive. It installed a boot loader – a little window that pops up after the
Toshiba Logo finishes – that gives me the option of running one or the other.
I’ve been using this laptop for a year now and Vista runs noticeably faster than XP –particularly with
video creation and editing. No drivers are available for your SD card slot so far
and it appears that the keyboard functions won’t work as designed to – Mainly the
“FN” key functions. The web cam software is pretty cool but doesn’t even work
completely in Vista and not at all in XP.
A few last things: You cannot install Vista
first. XP has to installed first and that’s not just on the laptop but any
system. If you partitioned th Hard Drive correctly, when running either OS you will have two hard drives designated C an D or C and E. the free space is available to both operating systems. Do not get them confused. The drive letters may be switched because your boot disk is C in both Operating Systems but XP is on drive "0" and Vista is on drive "1". Don't be scared...you just have to get used to it. If you are using MS Office, you will have to have at least the 2003 suite for Vista.
Have fun...I learned a few things form doing it this way
Bill.

realtek.com.tw for audio vid is an intel chip try intel.com
This is a case where you best contact Toshiba. Why? Because you should get support from them for a new machine in the first place and also if you do not contact them, how do they ever know that a Vista only support for this machine is not sufficient for real world users.
Call them on their support line and ask for the drivers.
