Re: a higher usb connection

Hi, Based on your post/description and assuming no real hardware fault, it is possible that what is needed is to update/install inf/driver support for 2.0USB. When windows is first installed, it may not have recognized completely the motherboard resources/devices and for compatibility simply installed a 1.0 USB. Installing the motherboard updated drivers would and should correct this. To check your USB right click on My Computer, click on Properties, Hardware, Device Manager Button, scroll down double click on Universal Serial Bus controllers. Normally 2.0 would be indicated somewhere, if not pls update Drivers (right click). It is also possible that you are connecting your printer through a USB hub that is not fully 2.0 compatible. Hope this give you some ideas and be if help. Pls post back how things turn up or if you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.

Re: a higher usb connection

What this means is that the USB Data Transfer Speed, "Speed" of your USB is NOT fast enough for the printer to use. I suspect you have USB version 1, Most modern things like this printer use USB version 2. Which has a much higher data rate. You can get an add on card to add USB 2 to ya PC or laptop. After ya done that you will find ya printer will most likely work.

DYMO LabelWriter 400 Turbo Installed but gives error message when sending prints

First of all, on Dymos you need to use original Dymo roll,.

Dymo rolls have a tag at the back, non original ones does not have it.

Before reinstalling driver you also need to run the dymo uninstaller utility that you find at Dymo website.

I will post the links for download.

Please try to powerdown your Printer and then your computer. Please restart both.
If you still are having the problem, then:

Try deleting and adding the printer again and see what happens from the printer setup utility if you are not able to print under another user and repair permission doesn't work.

Printer mechnical error

Resolving a blinking light When an error occurs, the power light will blink continuously and an error message will appear on the computer screen. Read the onscreen error message explaining the problem and follow its solution. If no error message appears, go to the Maintenance section in the Printer Assistant and click any of the four main buttons. This will prompt the software to check the status of the printer and the error message should then appear. The following table lists possible causes and what to do to correct the problem. Symptom Possible cause What to do to correct the problem Power light is blinking Printer cover is open Close the cover. Printer is out of paper Insert appropriate media in the In tray. Printer has difficulty picking up label media
  • Change the printers print mode setting.
  • Change the printer's paper type selection.
  • Use a different brand of label media.
There is a paper jam Follow each of these steps until the problem is resolved:

  1. Remove the paper from both paper trays.
  2. Press the Power button once. Wait a moment for the paper jam to clear.
  3. If printing labels, verify that a label did not become detached while passing through the printer. If the paper jam was not resolved, continue on to the next steps.
  4. Remove the rear access door.
  5. Remove the paper jam through the opening at the back of the printer.
  6. Replace the rear access door.
  7. Reload the paper into the paper In tray.
  8. Print the document.
There is a problem with a print cartridge Follow each of these steps until the problem is resolved:

  1. Remove and then reinsert the print cartridge(s) into the printer.
  2. Clean the print cartridges automatically using the Clean Cartridges option in the Printer Assistant.
  3. Manually clean the print cartridges and print cartridge cradles:
    • Open the printer cover and wait until the carriage moves to the center.
    • Press the Power button to turn off the printer.
    • Disconnect power cord from the back of the printer.
    • Remove the print cartridges and place them on a piece of paper with the nozzle plate facing up.
    • Lightly moisten a cotton swab with distilled water.
    • Clean the face and edges of the print cartridges with the swab. Do not touch the print cartridge ink nozzles or copper contacts.
    • Wipe the underside of the print cartridge cradle walls using a clean, moistened swab.
    • Reinsert the print cartridges.
    • Close the printer cover.
    • Connect the power cord to the back of the printer.
    • Press the Power button to turn on the printer.
  4. Calibrate the print cartridges.
  5. If the light is still flashing, replace the print cartridges.
Power light is blinking and/or there are missing lines or banding issues on the printout The print cartridge has partial loss of electrical interface with the carriage connections
  1. Print a printer self-test by holding the power button down with a pencil and opening and closing the top cover four times.
  2. Check the nozzle self-test pattern in the self-test print out. If one or more of the solid rectangular areas are missing, an electrical contact problem may be present.
  3. Remove and then reinsert the print cartridge(s) into the printer.
  4. Print the document.
  5. If the problem persists, follow the steps listed above for cleaning the print cartridges and print cartridge cradle.
  6. Try printing again. If the problem continues, replace the print cartridges.

Error Message: "The print cartridge cradle cannot move"

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Does anyone know what a 102H error means on a Minolta Magicolor 2490MF please ?

The error code is a message from the computer to let you know there has been a problem reaching to an adapter or device. It indicates Port 102h register test error. It means you should try reconnecting the printer, and ensure you have the printer properly installed so that it does show up as the correct printer when you select the Start, and Printers. (Or when you go into Control Panel and then select Printers, to see the installed printers in your computer.)

If the printer is on, is completely properly connected, is properly installed and appears in the list of your installed printers, in your computer Control Panel, then possibly you have some problem with the actual whirring, paper-handling printer device. You may try shutting down your computer, after you save any unsaved work that you were doing, and close applications, and can properly completely shut off the computer by selecting Shut down, from the Start Menu. Also please disconnect any cameras and any USB hubs for this test, but keep the printer connected. No need to turn off the printer; leave the printer on. Power on the computer and recheck the status of the printer, to see if it appears in the list of your installed printers, in your computer Control Panel, and see if the printer appears to be available or ready to print. If the printer does not appear, check its connection again, move the printer USB cable to another USB connection on your PC if it was already connected, and recheck. If you still do not see your printer appear there, it seems you will need to try another USB cable or another parallel printer cable, and proceed to install the printer. See if the printer has any flashing indicator - lighted LEDs, and notice the colors, and any error message. Report any questions you have about getting the printer installed please. Report any questions or problems you have with understanding what the manual instructs you to do to resolve the reported error. Maybe the printer has just gone bad, died, become kaput.
